I am extremely sensitive to everything around my head and especially behind my ears. I can hardly tell they are on my head! I have really long thin hair, it stays in place and keeps the stray hairs on my face perfectly! I would say if you have thick hair and your goal is to pull all your hair back, this might not be the best choice as it will likely stretch out and not hold your hair very long. For the price, I'd happily replace them every few months! Update - They stretched after about 2 months of daily wear. They don't stay on my head anymore.
