Professional looking - wallpaper and wallpaper accessories

These boards are fantastic! I used white. All in all, it only took about an hour from start to finish. I plan to put it in our master bathroom as well. Here are a few tips: • The wood has a somewhat strong smell. Almost like an old campfire or something. We opened the bathroom window (just a small window) during installation and the next day it was almost gone. • There are 3 adhesive strips on the back of each panel. They're strong and I'm not worried about the panels coming loose at all, so I didn't use store-bought spray adhesive. In our master bath with steam from the shower, I'm probably using spray adhesive as well, just in case. • We glued an overlay (not included in the scope of delivery) with construction adhesive. It comes in a tube that looks like sealant. • We have not sealed any of the wood panels. • We didn't use any spacers, just laid the panels flush against each other. There are small uneven gaps between them, but it seems normal to me. HGTV will advise you to paint the wall behind it black to account for this, but we didn't. • When the panels stick, they STICK and you can't push or move them even a little - so try to aim. To the right! • We drilled two holes in a board so I could hang my mirror. The plate did not chip or break. We drilled through one of the adhesive strips from back to front. • We used a table saw (actually a miter saw) to cut to length and again no splinters or cracks. Hubby recommends trimming with the finished side up to avoid this. • A wooden crate comes with almost all panels about 4 feet high. It arrived with 2 panels already cut by the manufacturer and all 4 pieces were there - to help with the panel wobble I assume. (It took me a minute to figure that out when I saw this.) I wanted them to look like a ship so as not to overpower them. Our space was also less than 4 feet wide, allowing us to use entire panels with no vertical seams. • I used a heavy rubber roller to push each board down after attaching it to the wall - I kept it away from children - they could easily break bones. • We didn't remove the decorative molding or the baseboards either, we simply installed both.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Appearance
