This product has silky soft bristles on one side and good hard bristles on the other side. I have short, less flexible arms and bending towards them makes it much easier to use on my back. The arch and length mean I can finally reach ALL of my back! The rubberized handle makes it much easier to hold, even with lathered hands. The oval shape of the head makes it easy to go around the neck and other areas. The bristles are set so close to the edge that even brushing under the ankles when bending over is no problem - this brush makes far fewer bangs on the shower floor than others. I have dry itchy skin, I really need a stiff brush that flakes off and I would say stiff bristles are perfect for me. They stay hard for long showers. If I were to change something I would make the bristles a millimeter or two longer, but if they were longer I don't know if they would stay as stiff as they are now. Two months of brushing and no bristles on either side. I will definitely buy again.
