The phone can stand vertically or horizontally (depending on how you hold the phone in the lock) - to remove you need to rotate the armband 90° to unhook it. CAN be blocked to prevent it from moving. What do you need. It's bulky (especially when using a large phone) and works great on the inside of the leg. Enough room to kneel, run, jump and keep your feet out of the way. Very comfortable.
