I've been using Neutrogena pressed powder for years. I tried loose powder mostly for economy - to see if it lasted longer. To be honest it doesn't seem to last MUCH longer than pressed powder and it's a bit trickier and harder to apply. I ended up buying a new large, soft powder brush that I really like - that alone was worth the experiment. Scrubbing the face in layers with a soft-bristled brush helps open pores and improve circulation. What I've found with this product is that it has decent sheer coverage, but too much can quickly look sticky and if you've used too much it only gets worse as the day goes on. It also oxidizes/darkens throughout the day, especially if you have an oily face. I believe less is more and you have to apply it and wait a few minutes for it to set to see decking results. One reviewer suggested applying it with your fingers - surprisingly it works and is a good solution for blemishes. I actually bought a lighter shade for blemishes and under-eyes - I apply it with a small brush, but my fingers also work.
