This unit is a compact solution to using cell phones to conference people into a live meeting. Call audio coming from the unit is excellent (although maybe a little 'tinny' if used to play music). Dial-in participants were able to hear in-room speakers clearly, even when the speakers were a good distance from the unit (tested to 15'). However, dial-in participants reported that the audio on their end, while clear, was not high quality. They said it sounded hollow, like we were speaking from "inside a well" and reported voice quality and volume diminishing as distance from the unit increased. If used in a small room with participants around a small table, this is a 5* product. In a larger room with people sitting more than 5' from the unit, quality seems to decline and it is probably a 3* product. However, it does provide a reasonable solution to the problem of using cell phones to conference people into a live meeting.
