Great but coarse fabric

I love the look of this sheet. It is beautiful and goes perfectly with the reversible blanket I bought for my daughter. My only concern is that the fabric has a rough feel and isn't really as soft as other sheets I've bought in the past. My daughter doesn't like sleeping on it so I can't use it. After washing on delicates and drying it has softened a little I think so I'll wash it again and try again but if my daughter doesn't like it I can't use it. Too bad because I really wanted to love it.
