Review on πŸ” The Ultimate Tanita UM-081 Scale: Track Your Body Fat and Water Levels Efficiently by Jeremiah Vishwasrao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The scale is good, accurate, not as easy to use as the old ones

Very accurate scale. When compared in the doctor's office, it was accurate to a tenth of a pound. What I don't like about it, compared to the older one I had that eventually died, is this: 1. It only stores information about two people, not four, 2. Only has a "one button" instead of one per person, 3. Requires touching the sock's on/off button and then bending down to press two buttons to select the person to be weighed; Unlike the old one, which had an individual touch button to select the person to be weighed. The buttons you use to select don't work as well as the old touch buttons on your toes. Instead, he wants to evaluate how hard you press the button; very angry.5. If it had two touch buttons to choose from, that would be better. Does it give you weight, body fat (although they are "adjusted" for age, which may not be accurate) and hydration levels. Hydration changes throughout the day as you drink, use the bathroom, and drink again. I'm not sure what value that is. This works really well as it provides your weight. I think a little over-engineering of a great product made it less usable.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • poorly thought out
