Wool scarf - good price

I was looking for a scarf for a Regency reenactment. Most women's scarves made today are too elaborate and too short for the time. Stumbled across a men's scarf by accident, but it's just one thing! When you take off the cloth, it smells like chemicals. Although nicely packaged. I immediately put it in the wash on the gentle cycle. After washing it smelled like wet wool so I'm pretty sure it's wool. It's a little prickly because it's lambswool (not goat cashmere) but for the price it's very reasonable for wool. Cashmere is becoming significantly more expensive. The design of the guest house is ok, nothing to worry about, but it suits the period I want to represent. I think the scarf will be warm and soften with wear and I expect to use it quite often even if I don't restyle.

Pros
  • Made in India
Cons
  • No machine gun
