Review on πŸ–€ Black Garmin Vivoactive HR GPS Smart Watch - Regular Fit, WW by Falcons Berry

Not quite multisport

I already have three of these watches. Call me a glutton as punishment, but I tried Garmin to decide when in doubt. I chose this watch because I was tired of the heart rate strap on my other older Polar watches. No matter how "small" they made the strap, it would dig into my skin and rub against me. After some research and some reviews I gave this watch a try. The price seemed reasonable and I got it on Prime Day for the first time. The watch initially worked perfectly. He had sync issues with both TrainingPeaks (I'm a triathlete) and GarminConnect. I somehow managed to get around this - I'm not sure what combination of spells ended up working, but I got them to sync. Then Bluetooth stopped communicating with my iPhone - nothing changed. No iOS updates etc. It just stopped working. After hours of troubleshooting and rebooting, Bluetooth was working again. This has happened a few more times over the lifespan of every Vivoactive watch I've owned. For the first time I realized I just had a bad watch. The second time I decided that the iOS update messed things up (maybe). The third time I realized it was just a watch. The real problem is that this watch is designed for swimming in the pool. This is misleading, to say the least. Every time I wear this swim watch, it dies. This last watch died after ONLY ONE SWIM. The display goes crazy and the watch eventually turns off and won't turn back on. Garmin managed to fix the first two. I'll say that for Garmin, they're really trying to fix their stuff. I assume they should as it doesn't work as advertised. Those last and last hours died this week. Garmin says my warranty has expired and that's ok. My patience too. I'm done with Garmin. My advice to you? Keep researching and DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH IF YOU SWIMMING. I repeat, don't waste your money on this watch if you swim. Whether you just run, bike, or work out at the gym, this watch will likely help you out. When uploading workouts to the app, expect regular frustrations from lack of syncing and/or the clock not communicating with your laptop. Also, the charging cable is an odd barbed device specific to this Garmin. It breaks easily and is quite expensive. You might want to shell out this sooner. Battery life is pretty decent. The only good thing I can say about this watch. I tried to love it I tried three times but I just did it. Garmin is NOT authorized to operate this device as waterproof, water resistant or even near water. I will try Polar Vantage M and see how it works. It says it's waterproof. I think we'll see. Shopping spree. For the price, there are better, less buggy, and hopefully waterproof/tough watches out there.
