This is the third IPL device I've tried and unfortunately none of them worked for me. I've used it at least half a dozen times on 3 different areas and haven't noticed any thinning yet. My hair is light to medium brown depending on the area and my skin is fairly pale so I'm in the treatable range. What I really like is that this device is very comfortable to hold. It never left any burn marks on me like my previous ones did. The cooling feature is really good as these devices can get very hot and are really painless to use. It's a pleasure to operate and the treatment is fairly quick. Unfortunately, unless your hair is very dark, I think these more affordable IPLs just don't work. I'm going to spend money on an expensive model to see if I can get the results I want.
