cover latches fit snugly into the case and as a few others have said if you decide to remove the case good luck it's stuck firmly in the holder. I figured this out by sliding the corner with the power button and then doing the same with the other corner of the same side so you can fold it back along the edge between the volume buttons and the second corner you pop out. It takes work and it looks like you can break your tablet before it tears off. To solve this problem I took an emery board and put the inside edge around the edges. Still holds securely but now I can take it off without feeling like you're breaking my tablet.
