Feature-rich Master of None? Yes.

This is a very versatile kit that will probably make an excellent in car 'just in case' for those who live in warm climates and don't get out much. It does what the manufacturer promises and it's pretty decent. However, as a poncho it is not waterproof and the water resistance is not very good. It is bulky and difficult to carry, and it takes some time to get used to deploying it from a pocket that is difficult to squeeze. As a sleeping bag, it is suitable for warmer nights. However, I wouldn't want to use this in the most moderate of conditions unless you're pairing this item with another bag. But the insulation is not thick and has a lot of partitions. The baffles appear to be sewn through, emphasizing that this is not a cold weather blanket, but they create many cold spots that you wouldn't get with other insulation like Climashield Apex or other glazing. Again, it's pretty heavy on heat. As a groundcover or topping, it is non-waterproof and quite heavy. However, it feels comfortable, and for good reason. As a hammock, it's very small and heavy, and the insulation compresses between the inner and outer layers of the hammock, meaning that if you normally need bedding, you'll most likely still need bedding. But again, squeezing into a pocket is no fun. As a bedding, it is heavy, difficult to compress and cold. As a pillow - nothing, but heavy again. But if you have the things needed to make a hammock, such as B. Keep carabiners with the thing, you'll find out what you can do with it. For sixty US dollars, the user gets a lot of it. The problem beyond the weight and size of the item is that almost all 'uses' for the item other than an unexpected picnic blanket or car accessory other than use as a poncho are likely to be things that are you will probably use. want at the same time. And this thing just can't do everything at once. When it's cold enough to use as a poncho, you need to unzip it to attach a hammock, duvet cover or sleeping bag. brrr Getting a tailored outfit for each of the uses that this blanket is made for can be expensive, even if you look to lower-end manufacturers. But if you have a sewing machine, time, and a little patience, it's easy to make extremely lightweight, durable goods that can withstand the same temperature conditions for the same money or a little more, which would be a lot more expensive. more packable so relevant parts are really waterproof etc. Mine pulled this blanket into the car. I carry a spare set of carabiners and a set of tree harnesses. But aside from being used as overpriced bedding and for impromptu use by guests (pre/post COVID), I just don't use this item anymore.
