Didn't work as advertised, had to return

I really want this to work as I have several Nikon f mount lenses that would be a great addition to my Fuji mirrorless cameras. I received the adapter and checked the firmware, 1.0. First I went to the site and updated the firmware to the latest. I put a Nikon 70-300/4.5-5.6 AF-P lens on the adapter/camera and nothing. The XT3 camera behaved as if it had a manual focus lens. No aperture, no autofocus. I turned it off, made sure all the contacts on the lens and adapter were clean. Tried again, same result. This lens is on the tested lenses list, but I decided to try again with a different lens. I tried Nikon 300/4E PF. This time the lens was recognized and autofocus was attempted, but the result was very poor. The aperture reads f/5.8 and doesn't change to anything else. I tried the 70-300 again and this time it turned on but had the same problem as the 300 Prime. After that I tried my Tamron 17-35 OSD and nothing. on this lens. I put the 300/4 back in and nothing, it worked again as a manual focus lens. I put the adapter back in the box and requested a refund. It's a shame maybe it was crap but this experience spoiled me in the experience. I'll probably just wait and put that $350 on a native mount just announced by the Fuji 70-300.

Pros
  • Image stabilizer support
Cons
  • No performance
