Review on πŸ’‘ Enhance Your Lighting Setup with OSTWIN Gimbal Recessed Junction Changing by Alvaro Delic

Still on the fence above.

There are a few ceiling lights on this site that use this style of suspension (which I like) but they seem like a safe buy as Ostwin is a brand you often see in big hardware stores etc. The lens appears to be better designed/engineered than other 25Β°-40Β° lights, but this is just a brief observation and may be fake. The light is pretty basic, the 360Β° rotation is functional but looks cheap and flimsy, but it still gets stuck (and not because of the cord). A small handle used to pull the light out at various angles is attached to an insert that screws into the outer lens/LED housing, which slides in and out and rotates within the light block. This is a problem because the insert also holds the lens to the light and presses against the LED. Because the insert only takes a quarter turn to "lock" or unlock from light, it's very easy for the user to grab the small handle to pull the gimbal down for a sharper angle or twist and to solve the deployment in the area . Eye LED housing and detach it along with the lens. This design would actually make more sense if you needed to access the LED bar for maintenance, so need easy access, but you'll most likely never need to do that, so it's really just annoying if you don't plan on keeping the light strong once installed to turn. The price is reasonable, but this light is harder to choose compared to similar LED ceiling lights with the same wattage and gimbal design. I don't know why it still has an advantage over cheaper bulbs in terms of quality as there is nothing about the light that makes it undesirable (as far as I can tell), it just might be better than the imagination. / Marketing etc. or something else subtly makes buyers choose B over A. I really think these tubes deserve a shot as Ostwin offers a 15 watt 5 inch version that I haven't been able to find anywhere else; but then again, this is a place for a light source. I plan to buy when the price drops a bit.
