This is my first on-ear gaming headset. I've always used smaller over-ear headphones in the past. I usually buy much cheaper ones via other brands too (logi-you know who). I've had them for about a month now and I feel like I can give an honest review. Everything Xbox/PC related first. Yes, you can connect it to your PC OR to your XBox. You cannot connect them to both at the same time. As long as there is a toggle button, that button determines whether or not the optical input is used by the Xbox. I usually just move the base from one to the other with the cables ready for both, but you can't switch between them without unplugging one and plugging in the other. Second, what you have read in other reviews is absolutely correct. Cons: * Sound quality is good, not great, but good * Dolby on/off is noticeable but not amazing * When watching movies / listening to music, the headset turns off regularly - not much and not necessarily often, but it's enough - in most cases it returns after a few seconds, but sometimes you have to turn the headset off and on again * When the battery is low/empty, it emits a series of SOS beeps, which is very important. annoying and confusing until I checked. * Inserting the headset into the charging dock is like a precise operation, it's not that easy to touch the contacts to actually start charging, and no mute e button or anything * The buttons/knobs on the headset are in not very clearly labeled/explained in the instructions (top to bottom: on/off, surround sound on/off, settings button - uses presets in the software you can download and install, although you'll have to set it up and figure it out yourself, volume control) * The right ear also has volume up/down pressure points that you accidentally press on when adjusting or removing the headset, but it's not super annoying * Quite big, bulky and not very light - but I didn't expect that that they are Pros: * Well filled and quite oud fit my head for the first hour of use (usually I have to adjust or move them if I use them longer than egg about an hour) * Comfortable on the ears (I haven't had any issues with this part being uncomfortable) * Easy to set up and use, all drivers were self-installed and required no issues with them (apart from the intermittent mute mentioned above) * Doesn't block the sound (this can be a disadvantage if you want a more immersive experience), but I often have children/women in the room and I can still hear them talking to me without removing my headphones* Good sound quality with Surround on/off* The preset button is a plus for installing software and changing settings for games/movies/etc. makes them much more versatile if you have the time and inclination to play with them * Durable - they are not lightweight but not cheap either - I've tried MANY headsets and eventually they all fail, if that's the case I'll update the review but they seem fine build and be sturdy, so we'll see how long they last. But "upgraded" or discounted, I think it's a decent deal and you definitely get value for what you pay for.
