We recently had a power outage and my bathroom is very dark even during the day as there are no windows. The glowing light in the toilet was very useful. I introduced him to my friends just for fun. I tell them not to turn on the lights when they first enter but to stop and of course the motion detector caught their entry and they loved it too. So it's useful, but also has entertainment value. I mean when I saw this I laughed and had to have another one. Cheap and fun. Cleaning is not a problem. When I clean the toilet I take the lamp out and wipe it down with an antibacterial cloth before putting it back in. Most of it is outside the toilet.
