I have successfully purchased and installed this unit myself and it has been running great for several months now. While this is a setup you can do at home, Toyota engineers have made it more difficult - you have to gently pry apart the black plastic caps, thread the cables through the plastic light shields and put them back together. If you're comfortable with that, that's a lot of money that can save you big bucks on dealer repairs. Just don't underestimate the time it takes to install.
