This player is a great idea and judging by the reviews it works for some people. But not for me. Most of the time he does what he says but distorts parts of the record - not most, but part of it, here and there for no rhyme or reason. (I didn't meet the converter while it was doing its job.) I know the cassette is ok because I listened on headphones while the converter played the cassette and the audio was ok. I've waited too long to take this test. otherwise I would have sent it back. Well I guess now I just have a cassette player, no converter, and I have to record through my computer. By the way, it doesn't recognize Mac formatted flash drive, so make sure you are using PC formatted flash drive. If you buy, I hope you get better results than me. Supplement after 2 days: Now the cassettes no longer play properly: the sound is distorted. If I could deduct the one star I originally gave, I would. A piece of junk.
