Decreases ability to focus and lowers photo quality
I've had this filter since buying the camera in June and have had a problem with not being able to focus well at the higher end of the range (about 83x) on my Nikon Coolpix P900. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I played around with the aperture to increase the depth of field, started using a monopod, etc. etc. Bad luck. Today it occurred to me to remove the UV filter. Voila! Suddenly I could autofocus a lot faster and my photos were beautifully sharp. I do not recommend this product. This reduces the quality of your photos.
