Not good for mixed environments
As a professional artist, I use charcoal pencils on a daily basis. I paint in mixed media on bamboo and sketch with pencils. These pens didn't work for me. They were too thin and light and the color couldn't be seen. My usual brand are softer, thicker pencils, and they're more like the school pencils you use on regular paper. Perhaps best suited for drawing in a sketchbook, I cannot recommend them for any other medium. Two stars for three different colors.
