Although everyone my age is a little less sensitive to high frequencies, I found the high frequency content excessive and unnatural. Comparing the sound to the Sennheiser HD280 ($100), HD580 ($?), and Hifiman HE560 (also overly bright $300 phones), the Seeds sound the same as the $50 phones. I prefer regular headphones over headphones, but this time I needed something smaller. As for the bass, it's pretty low, especially with the big rubber tips where it can also be overdone. Of course, bass quality, whatever that means, isn't what more expensive phones can offer. But considering the price, it's pretty good.
