I'm pretty sure this product isn't intended or marketed for men but I have some real problem areas and this is one of the few precision epilators available so I thought so , I want to try it out. I have tried chemical hair removers and waxes and this is by far the best solution I have found so far. You should use your common sense, male or female, not to use this thing on very sensitive areas like your eyelashes or your genitals. If you are a man, don't try to trim your beard with this thing. And look how tiny this thing is. So if the area you're working on is much larger, you have to understand that it wasn't made for your back, legs, or even your kneecaps. This was done for very small sections of very fine hair. In my case, I got it for the ears. I have a lot of fine hairs growing out of my earlobes. This thing coped with its task almost perfectly. This is not a razor and not a trimmer in the sense that a pass cannot be cut. You have to go back and forth over each area slowly and patiently, and it's going to hurt. It pulls your hair out, so there's no avoiding the fact that it's going to hurt. This will make your skin red and burn very badly. But it takes no more than 15 minutes, and the result is worth it. Instead of trimming my ears every few days, I get smooth, hairless ears for a few weeks. It also works in the area between the eyebrows and on the nose, but not on the nose. If you're ready to stick that thing up your nose, then maybe you shouldn't be allowed to play with power tools. Delicacy is the keyword here. You should only use it on fine hair and you should use it gently and carefully. I believe this suits most women's typical problem areas such as the chin, cheeks and upper lip where delicate peach fuzz grows. But I see that in cases like legs or under chin where there is thick hair or large areas you need to go ahead and pluck or use a bigger epilator like the one for the legs. So I'm giving this five stars and I'm a very picky consumer. But there are a few caveats.1. I'm a male and bought these for my ears and I rate them on how they work with my ears. The hair on my ears is generally fine, so I think this would work for women.2. I can't comment on the durability of this device, but I'll update my review. Like many small trimmers, it feels a bit cheap, plasticky, and short-lived. But the business ending to this thing seems pretty well thought out.3. It's painful and a long process. My ears are not very wide but long in circumference so it took about 20 minutes for each ear. You have to keep moving in each specific area, and it's not designed for large stretches of anything. In that respect I am very satisfied with the results.
