4 stars because of the internal software. The screen looks great. It can get bright if you have external power supply when powered by USB signal cable. Running this from your phone or computer with only the USB signal cable will limit the brightness to 30%. The manufacturer claims that this is done so that the monitor does not drain the battery of the original device.
