I bought this for my daughter in the woodland bedroom, it was very pretty and went well with the theme. But the first time after I plugged it in about 10 minutes later I checked again to see the temperature of the light and noticed that the lamp heats up very quickly on the outside and the top salts are very warm. And since there was no safety wire or cover inside the bulb to separate the bulb from the salt rock, I worry about how easily and violently it can become a fire hazard if left on for long periods of time. I have another Himalayan salt light and we tend to leave it on 24/7 but I have never experienced this type of heat in a light before.
