I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.
With its task as a camera copes perfectly. I did not like the video very much, there are problems with stabilization. In static it shoots perfectly, handheld and on the go - not so much. If you do not like the quality of photos on top smartphones, and you are not ready to take a SLR camera with you, I can safely recommend the Canon M50 for purchase. If you want to shoot video handheld, you will need to use a camera stabilizer. I bought a Viltrox (EF-EOSm) adapter for aliexpress. With a Canon 50mm 1.8 fix, very decent photos are obtained.
