Review on 🚰 Effortless Operation Heavy-Duty Water Pump - 5 Gallon Manual Pump for Bottled Water by June Reeves

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Wobbly start on this one!

Firstly the directions are poor. HEATING the upper tube in no way contributes to the inerting and fixation of the tube in the device. It just fits snugly, there's no other option but to push it in firmly to keep it there. There is no etching of the screws, and the heat doesn't make the plastic more pliable or sticky. But I did it anyway. While it's relatively easy to figure out which part goes where, the instructions are incomplete. Second, the plastic drinking water jug I got from American Maid Industries didn't fit the "universal" size of the pump's screw base. Perhaps this pump is designed for glasses. No idea. At first I thought that was complete nonsense. I then used duct tape to increase the diameter of my water jug to allow the tie on the pump to eventually attach to the neck of the bottle. It worked in the end, but it's a tedious job. It would be helpful if the description stated the diameter of the neck it is intended for (or a range of diameters). Obviously, bottle sizes aren't as "standard" as you might think. . Once my cob job was done the pump worked GREAT. In my opinion, the materials are rather thin. But at least it's not electric, so it's more suited to places where you don't need electricity or have to rely on batteries. The price of this item is good so I'll leave it for my other pump and just look for a right sized bottle to use without using tape. And worst case scenario, you can always knock over the bottle to get water! hahaha

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to say
