Review on πŸ”‰ 4K@60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor with eARC and ARC HDMI2.0b, Audio Converter for Perfect Audio Video Sync, 18Gbps HDCP2.3 EDID CEC Support - Ideal for DVD, Blue-ray, Amplifier Soundbar by Jojo Howell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sends multi-channel audio to multiple receivers.

I've been trying to figure out how to send two multi-channel streams from my Oppo 203 BluRay player for quite some time - one to my Yamaha RX-A2050 receiver for HDR video and Dolby Atmos and a second stream for 5.1. Audio on a Denon 5.1 with an HDMI input receiver in the side room. I wanted to play both at the same time. I've previously tried sending an Oppo HDMI signal to the Yamaha and then using the Yamaha's HDMI 2 output to the Denon, but that downgraded the Denon signal to stereo PCM. It also caused the video quality to drop on my 4k TV (which is to be expected according to Yamaha's manual). The only way to pass 5.1 to the Denon was to turn off the Yamaha and use it as a loop-through. But with this Avedio Links splitter I can send Dolby Atmos and HDR video to Yamaha and 5.1 to Denon at the same time. Since the splitter supports EDID, there is no video quality downgrading. There is also no obvious signal degradation. So it works and I'm happy.

Pros
  • πŸ”Ή High quality audio: The HDMI eARC audio converter basically supports all available audio options. For example PCM 2.0, LPCM 5.1/7.1, Doby Digital, Doby Digital Plus, Doby True-HD, Doby Atmos, DTS 5.1, DTS ES 6.1, DTS HRA, DTS HD Master, DTS:X. It also supports CEC function and advanced EDID management.
