Review on Jonard EX2 Extraction Tool - Professional 24-40 by Harley Franchetti

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Complaints seem unfounded.

My old extractor hood got lost when I moved house and had to be replaced. I've had it since the late 80's and it worked fine. It was a heavy piece of hard plastic for the main body, but the insides were pretty much the same as this new one. This new one works just as well as the old one. The only possible downside is that the main body is made of fairly flimsy plastic. As long as you don't scatter it or leave it floating around in your tool bag, you'll be fine for years. The vast majority of bad reviews about it come from people assuming the instrument's body was handcrafted. made of metal, and we're annoyed that it's made of plastic. Trust me, you don't want a big, heavy piece of metal hitting a fragile circuit board and ripping out the chips. That the main body is made of plastic is fine and even has its advantages. In the next 10 to 20 years I will find out whether the plastic can withstand heavy use and time. If it breaks in that period I will update this review. Until then, I believe this extractor is worth its price.
