Beautiful shelf. I liked the idea but as it's quite small the books stick out at the edges and there isn't much room to store. The overlapping corners are quite a bit of decoration (unlike your actual items) and make it harder than I imagined to fit my stuff, even small trinkets. Some of the small overlapping holes are less than 2 inches in diameter. I couldn't decide how to hang it either but when I finally finished it my sister commented that with two middle blocks on top it looks like Mickey Mouse ears and now that's all I see. I had a little trouble getting the anchors to work, but my husband seems to have gotten it right. Overall the actual wood grain is nice and seems solid enough, but I'd probably buy another shelf if I was more practical and didn't get lost in the 'appeal' of this shelf. too late
