This is a functional replacement cable that meets its specifications. It has never given me any incompatibility reports, and its problems maintaining a connection to the laptop seem to be rooted in the poor quality of the HP laptop's connection port, not the quality of this product. That being said, expect this product. Stops working after about a year of use. If that suits you then buy it because until then it will work relatively well. It's not the best power cord, but it will do the job if you need a relatively inexpensive replacement for your old power cord.
