It works well for those who don't like loud noises, but also allows people who are deaf to hear what others say without needing lip reading software or services. The only thing I dislike about the product is how heavy it feels compared to other devices of similar size and weight. If you can handle extra pounds and want something portable so your child can use it independently then this may work best for you. We used this to test his hearing after getting ear infections. He has been fine since we started using it and no longer needs to wear glasses or sunglasses during outdoor activities or while watching TV.
