It never shrinks no matter how much I leave it there. It remains sticky and elastic and does not harden. It took me almost 3 hours to wax my legs which should take less than an hour. I had to peel and peel off small pieces. No matter how thick or thin it is applied, it is almost impossible to remove with a strip. Apply it too thinly and you won't be able to get it off your skin at all. Thick enough to hold together and sticky like putty. I've been waxing at home for over a decade and this is the WORST product I've ever tried! Hard wax should NOT stick to skin like sugar wax. THIS hard wax sticks to your skin and causes more pain than other hard waxes. It also leaves LOTS of hair behind, so obviously it doesn't stick to hair very well. Three passes over the same area and there's still plenty of hair left. While the after-spray helps dissolve the remaining wax, as the day progresses large chunks will loosen and peel off the skin, and that's only leaving a greasy spray residue staining your clothes and linens. Softened pieces of wax become sticky and peel off clothing. I absolutely HATE this wax and really regret buying more than two pounds at a time. Before spraying there is no noticeable difference in the way the wax works. I've seen several reviews claiming that the before and after sprays are the same. You are not. They don't even have an ingredient in common. I post pictures of the bottles. They don't even feel the same. The bottles are also VERY small for the amount of wax they hold. The instructions that come with the wax are absurd. It does not specify the temperature to which the wax should be heated. It says you need to refer to the instructions on how to use the wax heater. Yes, my heater says each brand has a different temperature for optimal application and should always use the temperature specified by the wax brand. So now I'm stuck in a circle of not knowing. Should it be under 160? or up to 195? Or somewhere in between? I've tried different temperatures to try and set the sticky gum texture of this wax when it's removed. The hotter it gets, the stickier it stays. The colder it is, the thicker it is and will come off in stringy bits, even after leaving it on for five minutes. This wax is so terrible in so many ways. Funny how the instruction manual tells you to do a poop test. Looks like it probably means patch testing. LMAO, at least they could make me laugh before they pissed me off.
