The mirror is quite plain and minimalist making it ideal for many applications. I plan to use it to trim my beard but I think others will enjoy using it for makeup. You can power the light via micro USB or 4 AAA batteries. So if you have an old phone charger lying around, you're good to go. . It can also be folded up easily for on the go. There's a small notched shelf that can hold a couple of makeup brushes, but isn't great for trimming a beard. Maybe I'll put some bottled oil on it. There are three settings for the light. Cool, warm and soft.
