This silicon protective mat is a bargain, when considering the protection to my counters and table tops. I have taken up a number of craft hobbies, to include resin, alcohol inks, stained glass and wood burning. All of these hobbies can ruin your surfaces and furniture. The mat is heat protective to 450, just enough to protect from burns in a brief accidental drop of something hot. As for any resin spills, they just peal right off once cured and there are no more stressful experiences trying to chip the spills from my counter while hoping I don't damage the surface permanently. I recommend this product. The size is generous, and the mat is strong. This really saves time as well during clean up. 5 stars.
