I followed the package directions and soaked the beads for 24 hours using 1 tablespoon of beads in 1 gallon of water. My toddler and I put our hands in the hydrated balls and they started falling apart. Breaks incredibly easily once wet and balls that don't break tend to develop cracks so I expect them to fall apart soon. The description says they are "reusable" and "safe for young children". They are a bunch of crap, they fall apart after a minute of use and break into small pieces that are definitely not safe for toddlers.
