The only problem is that the back of the phone jack is also an RJ11 jack. I got this to replace an old spade socket for separate cable connections, so I had to unplug the RJ11 from the old one and buy a short (8 inch) cable to connect the old to the new. never mind The back of the network port is also an RJ45 connector, but since almost all network cables have plugs on both ends, that's not a problem.
