Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product if you're willing to put up with a few minor imperfections.

I gave this product five stars because it was exactly what I needed and expected based on other reviews. As others have said, there are two main complaints about this product. So only purchase this product if these minor issues and/or fixes are acceptable to you. The product is made of rubber which retains its memory when hot wrapped during the manufacturing process. especially in the core of the coil. This is very easy to fix by following these simple steps: 1. Take the product out of the box and place the entire coil in the sink without stretching it. Put a plug in the sink to prevent water from spilling.2. Heat a large pot of water until it boils.3. Using appropriate personal protective equipment and taking all necessary precautions to avoid burns, pour boiling water over the coil and watch as it magically returns to its intended shape like a giant snake.4. Let it soak in hot water for a few minutes. Then take it out with tongs, let it dry for a few seconds and spread it on the floor. Curls will disappear completely in less than 15 minutes. The second complaint most people have is that the ink transfers from the product label on the bottom to the visible part because it is rolled up before the ink is completely dry. This makes it look a little dirty and worn at first glance, and you won't tell it's ink unless you get on all fours and look closely. This look was acceptable to me, but in the interests of solving the problem I did a little experiment and figured that with a finish grinder and lots of time and patience, it could be done a little better. Note that my results have shown that this method does indeed remove ink; However, instead of "looking" shabby and dirty, it actually becomes shabby and dirty. With enough time, effort, and sandpaper you could probably get it looking pristine, but it really isn't worth that much time, effort, and sandpaper in my opinion.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
