My phone is showing very low signal strength for Band 2 but it can still connect and make calls but I have some dead zones that I wanted to improve so have I opted for this larger antenna and supposedly better gain, this amplifier should get a better signal and improve the overall situation. I placed the beam antenna on a 30ft pole and slowly rotated it 360 degrees, couldn't find any signal on band 2. Support contacted me (they respond very quickly, so that's a plus), it turned out that the booster needed a good signal not less than 2 bars to "boost” the cellular signal. The use case they mention is that you have a good signal outside but the signal is weak/poor inside, the amplifier will improve the signal level in the room. The first point in the description can be a bit misleading (cut and paste from product page) "2G 3G 4G LTE Cellular Signal Booster amplifies a weak signal over an area of up to 3500m². "Feet" is the keyword "weak", and from their perspective, "weak" seems to mean at least 2 bars, so take that into account when deciding if this suits your needs.
