They are listed as memory foam everywhere but this may not be accurate. The top (listed as cooling gel memory foam) is actually something of a memory foam. But the rest is easy. Soap. You can open the lid to see that it is no different than the regular foam you can find at any craft store. It doesn't last as long as the memory foam is supposed to (and as clearly as advertised). And the gel foam portion, although listed as 1.7 inches, is actually 1.53 inches according to my digital caliper. All of this is to say that it's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself. The balance between the two foams seems to be right. I just can't excuse false advertising. Had this identical product been listed without the false claims, it would have received at least a full star. This is the first wedge pillow I've tried so I can't really compare it to others but it seems to do what it's supposed to. do pretty well. It takes a little getting used to, but it's quite comfortable and I haven't experienced acid reflux since using it - the main ailment I have to counteract it. I also like to use the pillow vertically when sitting up in bed and watching TV. Definitely more comfortable than leaning your back against the wall. Conclusion: I like it so far. But they need to fix false advertising.
