Verified 1920 x 1080 Native Resolution

--- Original review on 14 Aug 2020 --- I don't usually write reviews right away, but after initial inspection and testing I think Kodak has something a whole particular in the world of pico projectors with the Luma 450. I can confirm that the native resolution is indeed 1920 x 1080 (or at least very close, I'll never know if I was fooled by a few rows of pixels or Not). The brightness seems to be enough for 200 lumens, but I can't confirm that. The product measures 1.26" x 4.9" x 4.9" and appears to have a throw ratio of approximately 1.2:1 (don't quote me). Time will tell how reliable it is, but I would recommend this projector with caution to anyone looking for a small/pico 1080p solution Long story: Before purchasing the Luma 450 I had two 720p pico projectors from AAXA and a third full 1080p cheap projector Size from China I've been looking for a pico projector that will work in 1080p for quite a while and I've been looking at three options: Optoma LH150 (2.25"x7.5"x11") , AAXA M6 (2.1"x7"x7") and AAXA P7 (2.7" "x4.4"x4). .7"). All three were a bit big for my liking, and the smallest was horribly dim at 70 lumens. Then, seemingly out of nowhere (late July 2020), Kodak quietly launched the Luma 450 after only 5 other very low resolution projectors had previously appeared.Machine, especially compared to the AAXA P7, but I still decided to bet on the purchase.Kodak, as an American company, has a little more to lose from lies than its foreign competitors. I had some trouble connecting the remote initially and honestly couldn't tell you why it worked in the end. However, menus and settings can be used without a controller so that's not a problem for me.I have some images scrolling on the display which enabled me to count and measure the pixels and I am very happy to report that the results are consistent with the are what I expected from a 1080p projector. Response times seem reasonable, brightness is more than adequate for a 65-inch projector in a dimly lit room, and fan noise is typical for a projector of this size. Quality than other displays When I ran the image through a splitter and additional HDMI cables, the image quality degraded significantly compared to my Chinese 1080p projector, which is unusual for digital signals which usually either just work or don't work without intermediaries The cable stays short and uninterrupted, the picture quality is very impressive and supersedes all other projectors I have. I hope this helps someone in their decision to buy or not to buy. As I said, Kodak has something special about this projector (in its size and resolution category) and I hope mine will last. I will update this review if anything dramatic happens in the first year. Remote control. My use case is a few hours each day, but mostly stationary and always connected to the network. --- Updated January 13, 2021 --- I have used this projector 3-5 times a week for multiple hours per session since original purchase. . It's facing up towards the ceiling with external speakers attached. The power supply is always connected, so I didn't check the internal battery at all. I had no more problems with the remote - it's been working reliably ever since with no connection issues, I got it right the first time. Haven't changed batteries yet Focus wheel holds its position without needing regular adjustment (that's an issue with some cheaper projectors) Haven't blown or cleaned yet but will probably do so this month just to avoid excess dust Debris - one of my other pico projectors AAXA had such a large dust build up after about a year that the unit actually caught fire and released a puff of smoke (it still works) so I learned to clean it from time to time. As I mentioned, my projector faces up toward the ceiling, so I don't typically use it, which adds to the dust build-up depending on where the projector's vents are facing. I can't find anything to complain about, the projector works well and I would highly recommend this projector to anyone looking for a 1080p pico projector. Hope it lasts a few more years without problems.
