I have been using a Braun shaver for over 15 years. Since then he has served me faithfully. I've changed my head to this one several times. Unfortunately, they redesigned the slide and the cutter. I don't shave as close as I used to and I shave longer now. With the old design I wouldn't have much trouble shaving a three or four day old beard. If I don't shave at least every other day now, I have to use a razor. Instead of cutting its hair, it seems like it's just fighting back. In the previous design, when I emptied and cleaned the razor, the dust was grainy, indicating it had actually cut hair. Due to the larger particles, I only had to give the shaver a thorough cleaning once in a while. Now the dust has turned into a fine powder and the razor needs to be cleaned thoroughly after every shave. Once when I opened the razor a small piece of plastic fell from the end of the cutting head. Sorry Brown but that was a downgrade and now I'm buying a new razor. Rest assured it won't be Brown.
