This humidification system is reliable and does the job. Unlike competitor drinking tubes, the Source Tactical Safety drinking tube is not too long or loose. In addition, the hose is insulated with a "Cool Weave" coating over the entire length, while competition hoses are uninsulated and made of neoprene. My experience with a neoprene hose cover is that it doesn't keep the water in the hose cool on hot days. Source Tactical's low-profile widepac tank has no water cap that screws on and the tethered tank clip slides easily off the top of the tank. Open wide opening to add water and ice cubes if needed. In addition, you can also disconnect the hose and the bladder will not leak. I also learned about this particular hydration system from a former SWAT NCO and am glad I switched to it.
