Review on Danskin Girls Basic Cotton High Neck Tank Leotard: Comfortable and Stylish Dance Apparel by Cody Cobbs

Good swimsuit. Well done. Soft cotton.

Very pretty cotton swimsuit. As others have said, they run small. I ordered 6x for my 3 ½ year old. She is about 40 inches tall and weighs 32 pounds and we wear 4T in most of her dresses although she still wears 2T swimwear and the 4T swimsuit is still too loose. I haven't put it on her yet but compared to other form fitting swimsuits I think it will still be too loose for her. I think a size smaller would be ideal but I think she would also outgrow it quickly so I don't mind wearing that size for a while as she usually has a growth spurt in the fall. I'm pretty sure it will fit her in a few months and I think it might even shrink a bit when washed or dried (yes I know you should hand wash and dry these things, but I do not like that patience was not enough, everything else will inevitably spit). I'll update once she tries it on and after it's been through the washer and dryer. This can make it perfect with room to stretch as you grow. The quality of the material is very good and it is well made as you would expect from Danskin. I don't know why people say this material is so thick - it's lined and not thin lightweight nylon but a comfortable mid-weight cotton. I'm a dancer and used to buy exactly the same cotton leotards. This is the weight you want. It lasts long and also washes and absorbs sweat so you don't drip all over the dance floor. Little kids might not sweat like adult dancers, but for those who think it's too hot here, I promise you it's not. It is an ideal lightweight material, nicely lined and very comfortable to wear. Danskin is sometimes a bit more expensive in my opinion, but it usually lasts several washes and wears very well than some other brands.
