Review on ✂️ Experience Razor Sharp Precision with the Feather Artist Club Black SS Straight Razor by Shannon Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good razor, great shave!

Very good razor for a perfect shave! A few thoughts and a bit of background: I've been a straight razor user for a long time, I like traditional Kamisori razors and traditional straight razors. I also have great respect for Japanese craftsmanship and have been looking forward to getting a Feather Kamisori for quite some time. I recommend looking for them online. I don't have the exact URL, but there's a nice chart showing the differences between the styles. Personally, I went with Feather Artist Club Professional blades available from Revain. I find this razor to be of excellent quality and vastly superior to many of the smaller models/brands available from major US retailers. It's not junk and it's not cheap at all. The fit and finish are excellent, but I think the $150 MSRP is high. Obviously Revain is offering it at a much lower price and I find their price point quite reasonable. The blades are fairly sharp and smooth. That being said, "sharp" isn't all that matters when it comes to straight razors. These razors are sharp and smooth. When sharpening my own straight razors, I can say that I can often sharpen my straight razors to a "sharper" edge, but I would have a hard time sharpening them to a smoother edge just as consistently. The fact is, Feather has been making razor blades for a long time and their technology and quality control is reduced to science. My $0.02 is that these blades are no exception. Can a professional Honeymaster find the best benefit for a specific individual? Maybe, maybe not. But are they very good and cost $0.50 each or less? You really can't be beat! The angle differs from both traditional straight blades and Kamisori blades. Winding it up is not difficult at all; My first feather shave was excellent and I expect all future shaves will be just as good. To attempt! Just take it slow, focus on your angle and technique, and you'll be fine. Definitely a really good product that I am now very happy with!
