Review on πŸ“’ Piaa 85115 Superior Black Twin Tone Bass Horn, 112Db 330Hz and 400Hz by Doug Darling

Sounds great, pretty easy to install on a Honda Civic.

. My goal was to find the loud, deep "big ol' car horn" that strikes fear into men's hearts and doesn't disappoint. Since the Civic only has one wire that connects to the single stock horn with a special wire clamp, I had to make some simple extra wires to power and ground the two horns. However, the included instructions were very clear on the various wiring situations you might encounter under the hood. I spent $2.50 at my local hardware store to buy a few feet of 16ga wire and some spade terminals and ring terminals that would fit into the existing chassis mounting screw. I used the original horn screw through both horn mounts to attach them. So that they both face down, I place them side by side, back to back; there is enough space in the starting position of the horn. I replaced the stock wire clamp with a spade terminal to facilitate future modifications and attached the new ground rings to the wires that came with the kit and grounded them to the bolt that secures the horn assembly to the car. The hardest part was removing all the clips and the Civic bumper and then putting them back together. The horn itself was simple and sounded great.

Pros
  • . Great overall performance.
Cons
  • . Disappear.
