I thought this pillow set would be a great way to try two completely different styles for a good price. I have a hard time finding comfortable pillows and am also a restless sleeper, so I like to have three or four different types on my bed so I can switch between them throughout the night. These pillows have been vacuum sealed and encased in durable plastic; it was actually a bit difficult to unwrap them. After removing the seal, one of the cushions can be quickly and easily expanded to full size - the one with a cotton cover and polyester filling. It's light and fluffy and has decent loft but doesn't offer much support. I find sleeping on my side very comfortable and while it compresses a bit it doesn't flatten out permanently (at least not yet). I like the cotton cover but it's not removable. The other pillow is smaller and quite dense. The foam slowly expanded and had a slight odor that disappeared after allowing the pillow to air out for half a day. The bamboo case has a zipper so the filling can be adjusted. I find this pillow less comfortable and also a bit lumpy due to the crushed memory foam and I doubt I'll use it for sleeping although I think it will be great support for my back when I'm sitting up in bed . This will likely work best for those who prefer a low or medium loft pillow with firm support. These pillows meet (but don't exceed) my expectations; I think they are mid-range in terms of material quality and construction and the price seems reasonable.
