Well, a kind of plastic box is normal, it's just not advertised that way. The listing doesn't actually say it's wood, it manipulatively says it has a "burr wood" finish. This is intentionally misleading because they want you to think it's a wooden box. We discovered it wasn't wood when we engraved it for our daughter. Even the engraver was surprised - he thought it was wood until he started working on it. However, this is a beautiful box that we gave to our daughter for her birthday. We still feel that we paid a fair price and got a good product, but we have to deduct a star because the offer is not ready yet.
