My golden retriever "maybe" has a mild form of ichthyosis. In any case, I see white dander all over the outer edge of their kennel and living area. I thought it would go away over time, but it didn't. I did some research and also went to the vet and was advised to supplement my dog's diet with omega oils. It had a great rating and some promising reviews, so I bought it. My results: - Use: I give my dog one in the morning and one in the evening. People might consume a little bit more. I used to give it to my dog with a treat for her to eat, but now I just toss the capsule over her kibble when I feed her and she eats it. She seemed wary at first (she spat), but after tasting the capsule's contents, she seemed to enjoy both the taste and the chewing of the real part of the capsule. - Change in flaking: I *think* the flaking has decreased. . She hasn't gone forever anyway, but my mind tells me she's shrunk and her fur is looking a little better. But no miraculous changes. Maybe I just have to deal with that when it comes to ichthyosis.
