They arrived quickly (old 2-day prime shipping!). Well packaged, 2 ziplock bags in a big plastic bag. I haven't counted them yet but I'm guessing there are 100 in each bag. The slots on the bottom are cleanly cut and the ones I checked have no plastic residue. The slots are too big to hold the ends of the lines, but I've found that to be the case with all the plastic spools I've tried. To fix this I wrap the line end around the slots below several times and then tuck the line end under the line wound onto the main body of the spool. The reason I took off a star is because there is a small piece of plastic on top of the spool (the attached photo shows this), maybe out of shape or because they are torn? This is a potential problem with hooks. I have a small glass nail file that I don't use, I ran the file over that little protrusion a few times and it's gone! So a bit of work to get rid of this hook problem, something I can do while watching TV. It is better to do this before wrapping the thread around them and save yourself a headache in the future. They're also a bit thinner than other coils I've bought before, but they're still strong and don't bend easily. These will only work for my needs. Would probably buy again even with a little registration to do.
